What’s in a name…..

Meet the inspiration behind the name of my blog. I have a slight obsession with forest animals. Foxes, fawns, owls, hedgehogs, raccoons….so cute! I actually saw the cutest picture a while back and it’s always stuck with me.

Isn’t it adorable! It’s makes me think of Lily and Jax.

Found this great website with these awesome daily deals for moms, babies and kids! They had sales ranging from 40% - 80%.

If I had my way my whole house would be vintage inspired. I love bright colors and floral patterns. My husband on the other hand doesn’t care for “hippie decor”. I think you could say I’m a hippie at heart. I’m all about the peace and love. I try to be positive and look for the good. Some people do make it more difficult, but I’m learning. I’d love to live in San Fransisco for a little while and own a baby blue 1960s Volkswagen van that I would decorate on the inside and take trips. I love the fact were growing our own veggies and getting home grown eggs from our very generous chickens. I want to start a deer collection and go to antique stores and score amazing deals on things like little salt and pepper shakers. A big goal of mine is to learn how to sew. I wish I had someone around when I was younger who took the time to teach me. I want to sew little dresses for Lily and pretty curtains for the living room. I want mix matched dishes with pretty designs. My big thing is wishing when we built our house I would have insisted on a covered front porch. I want to sit in a rocker and sip sweet tea and watch the fireflies that I can now see because I live in the country. By this time next year I’ll be sewing everything and I will be teaching Lily how to sew even if she doesn’t want to. ;) I will say my mom did try to make me learn how to sew on a button, but alas I didn’t care to learn. BIG MISTAKE!

Hello! Well you might have read the first part of my introduction in my about me section so I won’t bore you with that again. I’ve always been a country girl, but now I actually live in the country. I’m talking cows and goats down the road and we just got chickens. Were growing a garden. My husband is talking about getting live stock. By this time next year I’ll be sewing all our clothes and churning butter. ;) We own five acres and I really do love most everything about living here, but we’ve had a few scares. A spider bit my 1 yr. old. (He’s fine) My father-in-law killed a rattle snake and just last night a field mouse got into our house and we had to chase it down. Gross. Those things are fast. So anyway. My blog will mostly be about the joys trials awesomeness of raising three two kids with some random stuff thrown in between. Enjoy!
